ARTH’s flagship program ARTH Kalpataru (meaning: a wish-fulfilling tree), is a one-stop information portal that provides the underserved and underprivilege people of India with a linkage to government welfare schemes and welfare programs. This program is our intervention of UN-SDG 10 “Reduced Inequalities”.
ARTH Kalpataru is a powerful medium to promote awareness with a key vision to uphold empowerment through awareness or “Jaankaari se Unnati” (meaning: progress via awareness). ARTH provides an end-to-end support to customers to facilitate them to receive government-sponsored social welfare services and schemes. Following this underlying principle, ARTH also conducts workshops – ARTH Sammelan, where people are sensitized and educated about the latest welfare and livelihood enhancement schemes available.
Our Social Performance Management Coordinators, who work on the field directly with our customers, have conducted over 160+ Sakhee Sabhas (open forums) till date and 70 Mini Sabhas and touch base with around 35,000 members.
Through this intervention, a lot of our customers have been connected with various government welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ujjawalla Yojana, PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Widow Pension Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana & Janani Seva Yojana.
The key objective of ARTH Kalpataru program is to bridge this gap in awareness existing amongst the underprivileged communities and to therefore help in the reduction of social disparities in the community.
Other objectives of the program are also listed below:
- To educate communities in rural areas of the active welfare schemes being promoted by the government.
- To identify specific schemes for individual profiles by mapping customer eligibility.
- To activate the benefits of the above schemes for customers and their family members
- To promote applications from localized community
- To make customers self-sufficient and independent.
