A single mother solely supporting her family
Soniya comes from a conservative community of Haryana, but with her persistent hard-work and dedication she is defying all odds to better-educate her children.
Soniya is a single mother. At the tender age of 30, she lost her husband. She had to discontinue education at an early age of 14 and was married off at 18. Despite the tragedy, Soniya made up her mind to give a better life to her children and wants both of her sons to complete their education and live an independent life.
She got no financial support from their natal and marital families. But she did not lose her hope. She has decided to start a dairy farming business by purchasing a buffalo and the demand for buffalo milk in her village will ensure a stable income throughout the year for the family.
Being a widow, she needs to run her family on her own. She is the sole supporter of the family. She gives her best to keep her satisfied in everything. She believes there is scope to improve her income even further and wishes to buy more buffalo and dairy machines to expand her business.
